Now entering its 36th year, the Sacred Heart Men’s Choir began at the request of parishioners who wanted to hear the traditional sound of men’s voices at Mass. The original 5 members soon grew to ten, then stayed at twelve for years.

Invitations came to sing for weddings and funerals; then, other churches began to invite the group to present its unique blend of original songs, classic favorites, live instrumentation, and a spirit of fun and fellowship. In the years since, the group has produced four recordings, sung for countless Masses, travelled to dozens of locales to present its music and message, and raised a significant amount of money which has been donated to local individuals and causes. In fact, SHMC’s charitable giving now resides above the $100,000 mark!

The current incarnation of the Sacred Heart Men’s Choir is composed of 15 members (3 not pictured), supported by guitars, electric bass, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and the occasional tambourine - and always performs with its own live music.

“Loving God, loving each other....making music with our friends” is more than a motto for this group - it is a way of life.

The choir is open to all men of St. Christopher's Parish. If you are a man who loves to sing, we would like you to consider joining us in our songs of praise to our Lord.
